Quilt Coat Sizing

IMG_2214.jpg

When we first launched our quilt coats in February 2020, I had no idea how they would be received. It felt like a crazy experiment to see if wearable quilts could even be a thing folks would want to purchase. So as a tiny, nimble team (there were only 3 of us back then!) we decided the smartest move would be to start out making the coat in one flexible size that would fit a range of bodies and genders.

It turns out y’all LOVE the coats - our small batches sell out within minutes and we couldn’t even come close to keeping up with demand. Eighteen months and a pandemic later, we’ve caught our breath, gathered feedback from our customers, and have been working behind the scenes to make our coats more size inclusive and readily available.

All that to say that we are so exciting to finally offer our quilt coats in four new sizes: Small, Medium, Large, and Large Tall! Our talented seamstress Alice has been working diligently for months to grade our original “one size” to accommodate a range of flexible unisex sizes from XXS to 3XL. We’ve also switched up our production from releasing small batches every month to a made-to-order model so you can order your coat in your size whenever you like.

We’ll go over each size, the measurements, and who it’s best for, but the best rule of thumb is to go by your chest measurement. And if you aren’t sure or have any questions, please reach out to hello@vacilandostudios.com and we’d be happy to help!
