Choose from our current made-to-order quilts, wall quilts, and pillows. Many existing designs can be produced in alternate sizes or adapted with a custom palette to better suit your space.

For projects requiring a distinct visual language, we develop original quilt designs in response to your space, story, palette, and practical needs. Custom work can range from one-of-a-kind textile artwork to multi-piece hospitality installations.

Create something original

Every Vacilando piece is handcrafted by our trusted network of skilled quilters across the United States. This distributed production model allows us to preserve the character and quality of handmade work while thoughtfully scaling production for larger projects.

We’ve created individual custom pieces for private residences, coordinated quilts for boutique hotels, and more than 200 quilts for a single hospitality project. Depending on the scope, we can also accommodate phased production and multi-location installations.

Project Inquiry

We’ll determine whether an existing design, customized piece, or fully original commission is the best fit and provide a proposal outlining the creative direction, estimated investment, production timeline, and payment schedule.

Direction + Proposal

For customized and original work, we develop a focused set of design and color concepts for review. Depending on the project, this phase may also include fabric swatches, renderings, or a physical sample.

Design Development

Once the design is approved, production begins with our network of skilled quilters. Larger orders may be completed in carefully coordinated phases.

Handcrafted Production

Finished pieces are inspected and prepared for shipment. Wall works can include a sewn hanging sleeve or another agreed-upon finishing method, and we’re happy to recommend appropriate hanging hardware.
